Local Dental Practice wins Top Industry Accolade

Sutton Coldfield dental practice Reece Associates incorporating Smilescool has achieved outstanding double success at the prestigious 2009 Dentistry Awards.

Winning the regional title of ‘Best Practice in the Midlands’, they then went up against 9 other regional winners to take the most highly prized accolade of the night - ‘Best Practice in the UK’.

The annual Dentistry Awards were held on Friday 4th December at the Athena in Leicester. The event is the chance for the industry to celebrate and congratulate the best of the profession - every award this year was strongly contested.

Reece Associates, the New Oscott based dental practice was opened in 2007 by Sara and Mike Reece. They have worked tremendously hard with their team to achieve this coveted award success - given in recognition of the dedication it takes to set up a practice that so successfully combines an outstanding range of dental and cosmetic services, with an enviable reputation for customer service.

The awards also recognise that the Reece Associates team have developed and launched the countries first ever ‘Smilescool’- a revolutionary concept for preventive children’s dentistry.

Industry experts and healthcare professionals already believe that Smilescool will be the vision for children’s dental care across the UK over the coming years.

Children in Smilescool attend the ‘POD’ (Centre for Positive Oral Development) at Reece Associates’ practice 3 times a year for 90 minutes - learning how to brush correctly and the effects of diet and nutrition on teeth, all in a fun and relaxed, interactive environment. Smilescool removes all fear of the dentist and most importantly children have the right techniques and support to grow up decay free.
